ORIGINAL RESEARCH
My primary research focus is on biophilic design; the natural human affinity for nature and how this positively impacts overall human well-being. In addition to biophilic design, my secondary focus is alternative healthcare environments that incorporate natural and nature-based healing modalities. My current graduate thesis research and design project is based on an original framework that combines these two focuses. This includes researching and designing an alternative healthcare environment that is designed based on biophilic attributes for an urban environment with the intention of benefiting the population that is often most deprived of the human-nature connection.
